The Dirty Bird was running awesome this weekend I placed 2nd in NMRA Open Comp for the 2nd race in a row I am now in first place in points. I had some tight wins checkout these margin of victories .0057, .0012, .0031, and I lost by .0053 in the finals to a beautiful 67 Mustang coupe that ran 10.14 all day long. All in all we had a good weekend. I'm headed to MIR May 2-4 for the next race this will my first time going that far North for a race. Then going to Norwalk in June and finishing the series in Bowling Green in October.

Went to the track this weekend made a few changes to try and get the car to hook off the transbrake with the Nitrous on I was rewarded with a 1.39 60ft with just the 50 shot. The vid was of a race I had later that night with a guy who called me out. Beat at the tree and down the track. I leave Thursday to go to Maryland International Raceway.

Made it home from MIR what a long ride. I ended up placing 3rd with a .003 red light didn't get the car settled when I got up on the transbrake it was bouncing around a little I think that might have caused it damn driver error. But so far in 3 NMRA races that's two 2nd place and one 3rd place finish off to a pretty good start. Headed to Norwalk next month that's another long ride. I had a few issues on friday during time runs lost a distributor gear and had a leaking fuel pump seal had to scramble to get it back together before first rnd of qualifying, but other than that it was a great weekend increased my points lead a little and made it home safe and not broke lol.

Congratulations!
Do you have an enclosed trailer or one piece truck? Or is this car sitting on an open trailer for all to admire and steal? It seems every time a driver starts to become successful his car is stolen.

I have a enclosed trailer but to save money I have been using a open trailer to go the races that are far away. But I have been taking some precautions when I stay at the hotel with it.

Nice! I wish I had the time and resources to get out there and do that. Congrats you must be up there at the top of the points list. _________________ 2001 Focus 2.0 Zetec

I really don't have the resources but after being in first place after two events I thought I better try and go to the rest or I would regret it, so I have been jamming out side work and cutting back on other stuff so I can afford it and hopefully win the series.

Wish you the best of luck! If you get any free time from all of your extra work you could practice on Smoke's Christmas Tree simulator in the calculator section. I could never cut a good light using a mouse but it may sharpen your reflexes.

Give you guys a update on the Falcon we turned the nitrous up to a 175 shot and went 9.88@137 had to pedal it which killed the 60ft I left on 25% and ramped to 100% by 1.2 sec. If I can get control of it off the line I might be able to get 9.50s. I also made the trip to Norwalk, Ohio for race #4 went 2 rounds but the guy in 2nd lost first round. So I have a 300 point lead going into the race this weekend in Joliet, IL. I will be leaving for that 15hr drive in a couple hrs so wish me luck. The last race of the series will be in Bowling Green,KY in Oct.

I managed to pull out the 2014 NMRA championship by 20 points and it came down to the final race, man I was stressed since I boobed up in the 1/4 finals and broke out taking to much stripe. So the guy who was is 2nd had a chance to steal it from me if he won the final round.
