i once saw that camaro put 900 h.p. at the wheels with his old setup

Ouch, scary stuff. My Mowtown block came with ARP bolts and the Scat rods had ARP bolts. I did use a set of head studs from Skip White though. I don't mind taking a little chance with a head stud, but never in a bottom end situation - that could be fugly. Clay
