Ms Sgt means you master the sergeant? Only funning you! Welcome to the site!!
Where is your hubby serving? Will he be here to work or are we buying and stock piling parts for a future reunification of driver and project?

Cool, projects done together are fun to do. Are you keeping it all Pontiac or going Chevy power? Keep us in on the progress. Clay _________________ I have done so much with so little for so long, I can now do anything with nothing. |

best way is to find a locksmith. only other option i know of is to drill out the center until you can turn and remove the lock cylinder. this is a difficult task because there are hardened steel parts in there. if you have the new lock cylinder, you can look at that to figure out where to drill. a die grinder with a long pointed carbide burr is also helpful. good luck. its a beast of a job. _________________

I'll have to ask my dad. We had the same problem with a column out of an S-10. Still a GM column so it might be useful information. He told me how he did it, but unfortunately my memory is pitiful sometimes. I'll get back to you in a few days. Ok, pardon my ignorance but this thing would have a different door and ignition key or no?
My local locksmith would make a key to a door cylinder for 17 bucks, I have used him a few times now for this service. He can do it in the time I eat lunch too which is nice.
(Not a chevy guy so I have to ask)
If not that easy they can remove it for you as stated above |
