Are the new process T-10 (late &70's gm) the same as the super T-10. I've had guys say yes both ways. Are the N.P. T-10 stronger or weaker than the muncie M20 or M21. I know there not any thing near a M22. I'm pretty sure there a lot better than the old saginaw boxes. I can't seem to find my books that covered this type of info.

Depends upon who makes the "super T-10" tranny. Borg Warnner, Richmond Gear, G-force. All sell a Super T-10, all different. The Super T-10 by Borg-Warnner was used in late model Corvettes to replace the Muncie before the five speeds came out.

It is a Borg Warnner unit. No stronger, no weaker than the factory made Muncie, just cheaper to buy than to make with union workers and all of their perks. That is why GM stopped making everything and started back to buying from other vendors: cost. Not better, not stronger, only cheaper.

That late 70's T10 should have the T400 output shaft. If it does it is the Super T-10. I stole one off E-bay, pulled it apart to check and resold it for 3 times what I paid.
