My only problem with dealership parts is the standard 100% markup.

Even with the new OEM joint keep and eye on it. The plastic retention stuff they use when new is a big part of how you got 150K out of the original, the new one you put in was ot aligned as well and glued in with plastic like that so it will wear faster.

Glad you finally got it straightened out.
There are still excellent parts countermen out there but they are few and far between.
We are fortunate to have a couple at our local Chevrolet Dealership.
