My apologies; I was confusing you with another subscriber, different project with different problem. Sorry once again.

Yes the watts linkage needs to be able to support three times the weight of the vehicle as that is it's normal stress level. Since you are racing at a high speed and have to factor in wind loads from the canards and rear airfoils that will increase the amount of down force the watts linkage will have to support (once again time three). Depending upon your ultimate goals you may want to go with no suspension, solid mount, with the tires being the only thing that yields (and they are hard as rocks).
