Being new at this, I was wondering if the procedure for changing the gear ratio in your rear end is very complicated or can you do this yourself fairly easily when you purchase the right gears and install kit? I have a 66 mustang coupe with an 8 inch rear with 2.80:1 gears and plan on swapping with probably 3.50. Any pointers or advice someone can share Question

I would have someone experienced in setting up a rear end do it. Unless you have the tool to set pinion depth correctly you could waste a set of gears. I used to do them years ago when I had access to Machine shop equipment. Fords are the easiest to do as far as setting the lash pattern but I would have it done.

I'm sorry that I haven't answered your e-mail about the cam your machine shop came up with for your 302. I've been busy and haven't had time to look into it. It does seem like a lot of duration for your needs.
You might contact udharold. He is the owner of the Ultradyne cam company. He is member #347 here at SMOKEmUP.com and I've seen him give good advice to other folks.
I built a 302 with Edlebrock Performer Aluminum heads and a Extreme Energy 268 Hydraulic Competition Cam that worked out well in a street 66 Mustang.
