John is well. He gave Jim Head one of his old Mustang bodies to get him back into racing, but Head/Linberg were sponsored by Toyota which could cause branding issues with a Mustang body. Three races out and he is still running the Mustang.

Not American. Lots of jobs here for building them not going to debate that but the final $$$$ goes to a bank in Japan.

PostPosted: Tue Nov 20, 2018 12:31 am    Post subject: HAPPY THANKSGIVING Reply with quote

Hope everyone is able to enjoy a healthy Thanksgiving with family and friends. I still have my 72 Nova. It hasn't been out for a couple of years but hopefully this spring we'll get back up to New England Dragway to exercise it through the quarter mile. I've converted the 408 smallblock over to Holley EFI. We made 605 horsepower on Golen Engine's SuperFlow dyno. Looking to run 10.s anytime the car hooks even in hot weather. See a bunch of names I remember. My best to everyone Driving

Yeah Smoke it would be good to get together at the track.

I'm fairly confident the heavy rain coming tomorrow will wash the salt off the road and allow for me to take a blast on Sunday on the street. First road test with the new rear end and disc brakes. Driving

Got to take a ride since the salt left the streets. Funny thing was I went about 2 miles just breaking in the rear axle and brakes and looked at the oil pressure gauge. It was at 0. I let off the gas and it went below 0. I didn't hear any issues with the engine as it would have been rattling like crazy if it truly lost pressure. In any event I turned it around and putted it home. Since I do have an oil pressure transducer on the car now for the HP EFI I decided to take a look with the the computer to see what it saw for pressure. All good 53 psi at an idle. 30+ year old SW mechanical oil pressure gauge failed. I ordered a set of auto meter sport comp 2 5/8" gauges to replace the old getto looking gauges. Should be a lot nicer looking. Would post pics if the link crap worked. LOL.

Hope all had a great Christmas/holiday season and happy new year to all.
Paul

Gauges installed. Looks so much better. Wasn't easy but some dash work just is what it is. Looking forward to next spring!
