Hey guys, I bought what I believe to be a BOP TH350 off a guy at work for $50 bucks. The guy I bought it off wasn't 100%. So I did some research. It has a 13 bolt oil pan, integral bell housing, and does not posess the band adjustment that the TH250 is supposed to have. It has a 6" tail housing. It has no numbers on the governor cover (maybe its an aftermarket cover). I did find several sets of numbers on it after I cleaned it. The pan has a number, but its on the left side instead of the right, it is J9S13D 6LL. The tail housing number is 8640839. on the right side on the transmission case right infront of the tail housing is 29L129806. There is a casting clock on the left side of the bell housing that I think says 6 1 78, near that slightly aft is 86408 with possibly two more numbers I cant read, and the letters CFD under that number. On top of the bell housing where it "dips" in at the 12 o'clock position (the part that makes it a BOP as opposed to a chevy TH350) there is a huge C 12. It is not a lock up torque converter model. Can anybody decode any of these numbers? |

T350 non lock.
What else is there? HP maybe or SHP?
Just a T350. 6-1-78 is either a c 350 or a T350. The fact is it is not a lock up converter and is a T350. |

what is HP or SHP? I just wanted to know more about it, thats all. It just puzzled me that the numbers weren't where they were supposed to be. I like to know trivial crap like that. lol |
