About the only thing I can contribute is if the instructions were followed for the shift kit. There are different hole configurations in the seperator plate (if it was replaced) and different check ball setups for 700's depending on if it has the auxillary valve body or not. I don't know if this has anything to do with it or not. My first step would be to uninstall the shift kit and put it back completely stock to at least eliminate that half of the project. The shift kit probably doesn't have anything to do with it, but maybe..... Another possibility is to call the company that made the shift kit and see if they know anything - if they don't you haven't lost anything. I've run into this on a C-4 but not a 700R4 - sorry. Clay
